Free Online Scoreboard

A big, clean scoreboard that runs in your browser: tap or use the keyboard to score, hit Display mode to fill a TV or projector, and your score saves itself after every change. Free, no signup, works on your phone.

Period 1

Keyboard: A left +1 · Z left −1 · L right +1 · M right −1 · U undo · P next period · F display mode · Esc exit

One scoreboard for anything with a score

This is the scoreboard you open when the game is about to start and nobody brought one: pickup basketball at the park, the garage table tennis ladder, a school PE lesson where the class keeps shouting different totals, backyard cornhole, badminton in the driveway, or quiz night at the pub. Two teams, giant numbers readable from across the room, a period counter, and an undo button for the inevitable double-tap. Rename the teams by typing straight onto the board, swap sides at half-time with one click, and you're back to playing instead of arguing about the score.

How to put the score on a TV or projector

With an HDMI cable

Plug a laptop into the TV or projector, open this page, and click 📺 Display mode. The scoreboard goes fullscreen with scores sized for the back row. Whoever sits at the laptop can keep scoring: in display mode, clicking the left half of the screen adds a point to the left team and the right half scores the right team — no need to leave fullscreen.

With AirPlay or Chromecast

No cable? Mirror or cast the browser tab instead: use AirPlay screen mirroring from a Mac (or the tab-cast menu in Chrome for a Chromecast TV), then enter display mode. The TV shows the giant board while you score from the laptop or phone doing the mirroring. Projectors work exactly the same way — they're just big screens.

Score without touching the mouse

Fast games need fast scoring, so everything is on the keyboard: A and Z adjust the left team, L and M the right, U undoes the last change, P advances the period, and F flips display mode on and off. Shortcuts pause automatically while you're typing a team name, and scores never drop below zero.

Your score saves itself

Every change — points, names, period — is stored instantly in your browser. Close the tab by accident, refresh mid-game, or come back after the break and the board is exactly where you left it. Nothing is uploaded anywhere; Reset wipes the board and the saved state when you want a truly fresh start.

Frequently asked questions

How do I show a scoreboard on a TV?

Open this page on a laptop, click Display mode, and connect the laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable — or AirPlay / cast the browser tab from your computer's screen-mirroring menu. The scoreboard fills the whole screen and updates the moment you score.

Does the scoreboard work offline / save my score?

Your team names, scores and period are saved in your browser after every change, so a refresh or an accidental tab-close won't lose the score. Once the page has loaded, scoring itself needs no internet connection.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The two team panels stack neatly on small screens and the big score itself is the tap target, so you can keep score one-handed from a phone at courtside. For real sport rules — tennis sets, basketball fouls, a shot clock — the free GoGo iPhone app goes further.

Is it really free?

Yes. No signup, no ads, no watermark, no time limit. It's a free tool from the makers of GoGo, the sports scorekeeping app for iPhone and Apple Watch.
